The SP30-4520 4.5" x 20" 30 micron polyester pleated cartridges are manufactured from durable polyester to provide you with a superior pleated Filter that is washable, reusable and durable. This pleated filter has a great dirt holding capacity to extend the time between Filter changes. The SP30-4520 polyester pleated filter cartridge is suitable for a variety of uses and can be used in residential, commercial and industrial applications. The polyester media is pleated around a polypropylene core for added strength and the ends are immersed in a Thermosetting vinyl plastisol. Embedding and sealing each end of the Pleat in this fashion fuses the three components together forming a unified end cap and gasket.

Traps that nasty sediment

I really like this filter because it does a great job in trapping the sediment from my water.

Buy 2 at a time, trust me.

I buy two of these at a time. That way I can rotate them in between changes. When one filter starts to get dark from the sediment, I'll open the housing, take out the old and install a fresh filter. Then I wash out the dirty filter then store it. The next time the filter gets dirty, I remove the dirty and replace it with the one I cleaned before. Make sense? This will save you from having too long of a down time since you don't have to by pass your water just to clean the filter. this method allows me to swap them out within a few minutes. Eventually the filters can only do so much filtering, and when that happens, I'll order my next set, and start that whole process all over again. Trust me, this is a money saving process that everyone should be doing.
